About The Event
Fire & Grace is an electric collaboration between Grammy award-winning guitarist, William Coulter and Canadian baroque/modern violinist Edwin Huizinga.
Together, on tour and in their recordings, these virtuoso artists explore the musical landscape of folk, classical, and contemporary traditions from around the world. North American folk refrains mingle with Celtic melodies, Argentinian tangos compliment Bach sonatas, and Bulgarian kopanitsas contrast with fiddle tunes and waltzes. All are underscored by a sense of discovery in the elements of passion and virtuosity – the fire and grace – found in these diverse musical traditions.
About the Artists
Edwin Huizinga
Performing both baroque and modern repertoire, Canadian violinist Edwin Huizinga has crossed many borders and boundaries as an artist around the world. He has appeared alongside Yo-Yo Ma, Itzhak Perlman, Dawn Upshaw, Mike Marshall, and Stevie Wonder, and has been featured as a soloist with the the Sweetwater Music Festival, the Trinity Alps…
